Bottled my first batch of Elderflower syrup this year.
Mixed with some fresh sparkling water and a slice of lemon, it's one of my favourite summer drinks, I think.
Of course you will find the recipe for it in my new book: 'Home Made', for sale by the end of August.

We don't have Elderberry in this country. The only way to drink Elderberry Selzer is to buy them from a British grocer in town. They're a little expensive but worth it because it's really good.
ReplyDeleteOh I am very curious about your book!
ReplyDeleteCould you tell me what elderflowers are in Dutch?
Hi Do & Annechung!
ReplyDeleteOh! Too bad you don't have Elderberry over where you live, here in Holland it grows everywhere, almost like weeds.
@ Do: we call it : Vlierbloesem en in de herfst krijg je Vlierbessen! Weet t weer? Die witte schermachtige bloemen van grote struiken in het park of langs landerige paden.
I've opened the first bottle today, yum!
Ohja! Nou weet ik het! :)
ReplyDeleteI hope I get my hands on a copy of your book before I leave Amsterdam!
ReplyDeleteI hope so too Michelle! The launch will be somewhere around the 27th, we expect!
ReplyDeleteI will post the exact date on my blog, when I have it.
